In the Nineteenth century Bombay was recognized by economic and educational development. During the early Last millennium it became a strong base for the Native Indian freedom activity. Upon India's freedom in 1947 the town was integrated into Bombay State. 

Mumbai is the economical, commercial and entertainment capital of India. It is also one of the top ten centers of business in terms of global economical flow, generating 5% of India's GDP and accounting for 25% of industrial outcome, 70% of historic trade in Native Indian and 70% of investment dealings to India's economy.
